Overview:

This session will provide participants with the knowledge to prepare for surveys and remain survey-ready at all times.

The presenter will go over conducting a mock survey step-by-step, which will include a focus on what to look for during home visits. Next, an important portion is to be able to take the findings and develop working action plans - including process, policy and procedure. Education and QAPI development and implementation will facilitate maintaining compliance on a continual basis.

Simple but effective strategies and tips will help participants conduct their own mock surveys like a Surveyor does.

Why you should Attend:

Agencies get so involved in handling Day to day crises, etc, that so often they are not ‘ready’ for surveys. Then they ‘cram’ for the survey a month prior. This is extremely stressful and expensive (OT, Consultants, etc). and often the agency receives deficiencies.

It is so important to have your finger on the pulse of your agency at all times - in order to achieve and maintain continued survey readiness.

Also, staff are nervous during survey - by doing mock surveys on your agency, that level of anxiety will be reduced during the actual survey.
