There is tremendous misinformation about sleep in the popular press and in the pop psychology genre. Every year there is a new fad which very soon drifts away when a new one emerges that supposedly improves the sleep. In fact, many people are unknowingly using sleep aids that lead to unhealthy sleep. Many of these efforts result in depression and even dementia. This webinar outlines the important factors regarding sleep and how to promote healthy sleep and mental health.

John Arden Author of 15 books translated into more than 20 languages, including, Mind-Brain-Gene, Brain2Brain, The Brain Bible, Rewire Your Brain, 2.0, and Brain- Based Therapy with Adults. He was recently the Chief Academic Officer for the Institute of Behavioral Health, a division of IBP. He previously served as the Northern California Regional Director of Training Kaiser Permanente where he developed one of the largest mental health training programs in the United States. In this capacity he oversaw more than 150 interns and postdoctoral psychology residents in 24 medical centers. Dr. Arden’s study of neuropsychology has inspired him to integrate epigenetics, psychoneuroimmunology, neuroscience and psychotherapy, synthesizing the biological and psychological into an integrated vision of psychotherapy. He has presented in all US States and over 30 countries.
